If you are passionate about history, visiting the Rasnov Fortress (or the Rasnov Citadel) is the perfect experience. This has been a place of refuge over extended periods of time. It reassembled a small village, with a church, a chapel, a school and at least 30 different houses.

This venue is ideal for both large groups and families. It’s located on a rocky hilltop in the Carpathian Mountains. It’s original purpose was of protection against invading Tartars back around 1331. Nowadays, the citadel has been restored and awaits you to visit it if you’re looking for an enjoyable trip in the amazing countryside of Brasov.
